Al-Amir on Main

If you're really into Middle-Eastern cuisine, you'll know that it does not fit the fast food industry. Food has to be slowly marinated and cooked. This was one of the few times I really had a great meal at a restaurant. It is just like grandma's cooking. On top of that, the atmosphere will carry you across oceans into the heart of good-times. The staff are super friendly and they will always smile and treat you with respect. I loved this place and I will sure visit again whenever I am in Columbia, SC.

Have never had this kind of food until they moved to Main Street. Food is awesome and the staff are so friendly! Don't be intimidated by the menu... Just ask the staff to explain! Also order ahead and get it to go!

So glad Al Amir is joining the NoMa crew! Their pickled cabbage and falafel are always absolutely on point. Lots of variety so you can get all of your favorites. Counter service plus dining room makes it accessible for everyone... they served me last-minute with a smile, so professional and kind. Y'all are great, keep the fresh and fun traditional med food coming!!
